Seahawks Game Analysis

Seahawks Game Grades

Now that the Seahawks’ win over the Cardinals is in the books, let’s take a look at how each position group performed.

Offense: B+
The Seahawks offense did enough to win, but they certainly left some points on the board. Quarterback Russell Wilson was his usual efficient self, completing 18 of 29 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns. However, he did throw one interception that could have been costly had Arizona been able to capitalize.

Running back Chris Carson had a tough day, averaging just 2.6 yards per carry on his way to 34 yards on the ground. He did score a touchdown, however, so he gets credit for that.

The Seahawks’ receivers were solid overall, with Doug Baldwin leading the way with eight catches for 92 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Lockett also hauled in a touchdown catch, while Jimmy Graham continues to be a red zone threat with another touchdown grab.

The offensive line deserves credit for keeping Wilson clean for the most part, as he was only sacked once. They also did a good job open up some holes for the running game when called upon.

Defense: A-
After a slow start, the Seahawks’ defense really tightened up and made some key stops when they needed to. Arizona quarterback Josh Rosen was under duress all day and ended up being sacked five times. The secondary also made some big plays, highlighted by Shaquill Griffin’s interception in the end zone that killed an Arizona drive early in the fourth quarter.

Linebacker Bobby Wagner continued his stellar play with 11 tackles and a sack, while fellow linebacker K.J . Wright wasn’t far behind with 10 tackles of his own. Frank Clark also recorded two sacks on the day as he continues to be a force off the edge.

Overall, it was another solid performance by the Seahawks’ defense and they continue to be one of the best units in the league
