The Cubs Score
The Cubs scored 10 runs in the game.
How The Cubs Score
The Cubs score by getting runs. A run is scored when a player on offense touches all four bases safely in succession. The bases are arranged in a diamond shape, with first base being at the bottom, and home plate being at the top. When a player hits the ball and safely reaches first base, they have “batted in” a run. If there are already players on base when the player hits the ball, then those players may advance around the bases as well. Once all four bases have been touched in succession by offensive players, one run has been scored.
